Lady Pioneers picked ninth in OAC Coaches' Poll

TWINSBURG, Ohio - The OAC coaches announced their preseason poll this afternoon (Nov. 3) after the 2004-05 Media Day Conference Call.

Capital was voted to the top spot, receiving eight first-place votes and 80 points. Wilmington (71 points), the 2003-04 national champions, was picked second and got one first-place vote.

Marietta was tabbed ninth with 20 points. They return five letterwinners and three starters from last year's squad.

The Pioneers open the season against Waynesburg at the National City Tip-off Tournament, hosted by Allegheny (PA) Nov. 19-20.
