TWINSBURG, Ohio — The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced its 2006 women's basketball award winners Tuesday (Feb. 28) and Marietta College's Justine Pagenhardt (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) was honored with second team recognition.
It is the 30th time that a Lady Pioneer picked up All-Conference recognition. Pagenhardt, a sophomore, is the first person to receive higher than honorable mention since Angie Miller was named first team in 1994-95.
Pagenhardt led the league in scoring, averaging 19.2 points. She totaled 481 points on 169-of-400 (.423) shooting, while knocking down 37-of-118 (.314) from beyond the arc and 106-145 (.731) from the charity stripe in 2005-06.
Pagenhardt reached double figures in 22 of the team's 25 games. She finished with ten 20-point and two 30-point performances. The guard had a career-high 39 points in Marietta's first game against Otterbein on January 18.
The 2005 All-OAC honorable mention recipient also averaged 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.9 steals in 29.6 minutes per game.
As a team, Marietta finished the season with an overall record of 6-19, including a league record of 3-15.
