Marietta women end season with a 84-39 loss at Baldwin-Wallace
Pioneers become just third team to ever go winless in OAC play

BEREA, Ohio — The 2006-07 Marietta College women's basketball team's season came to an end Saturday (Feb. 17) afternoon following an 84-39 loss at Baldwin-Wallace. [Box Score]
The Lady Pioneers finish the season 2-23 overall and 0-18 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. They become just the third ever and first since Hiram in 1994-95 to end a year winless in OAC play. The Yellow Jackets conclude the regular season 19-6 overall and 13-5 in the league. They are preparing for an OAC Tournament game Tuesday (Feb. 20).
Baldwin-Wallace dominated the game from start to finish, leading 36-20 at intermission and by 45 points before it was over.
Freshman Shawntae Cline (Belpre) paced Marietta, who shot just 28% (14-of-51) from the floor, with nine points. Junior Justine Pagenhardt (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) added eight points, bringing her three-year total to 1,046 career points, which ranks sixth all-time at Marietta College. Pagenhardt also added five rebounds. Junior Abby Hess (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) contributed five points and eight rebounds in the loss.
Baldwin-Wallace had two players—Carly Flowers and Leah Mottayaw—finish with a game-high 15 points, while Jessica Latimer added 12 in the win.
