Marietta College's Pagenhardt named Academic All-OAC
Junior guard receives honor for second straight season

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC)
announced the 2007 Academic All-Conference recipients Wednesday
(March 6) afternoon and Marietta College junior Justine
Pagenhardt (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) received
recognition for the second straight season.
The award winners are selected by the OAC faculty athletic
representatives. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have
at least a 3.25 grade point average, be a starter or key reserve
and be in at least her second year of participation in the
sport.
Pagenhardt, a guard, finished the regular season ranked tenth
among OAC players in scoring (12.6 ppg). She also added 3.3
rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in 2007. Pagenhardt scored
a season-high 28 points in Marietta's season opener against
SUNY-Fredonia and was named to the Penn State-Behrend All-Tournament
Team.
Pagenhardt finished the season with 1,046 career points,
which ranks sixth all-time at Marietta College. She became
only the seventh Lady Pioneers to join the the 1,000-point
club.
When not on the hardcourt or the tennis court, Pagenhardt,
a biology major who is a member of the Athletic Director's
Honor Roll and the Dean's List, is active in the Student-Athlete
Advisory Council.
Marietta College finished the year 2-23 overall and 0-18
in the OAC. The Pioneers attempted a school record 419 three-point
field goals in 2006-07. Marietta is expected to return all
but one player from this year's squad for the 2007-08 season.
