Lady Pioneers advance to the finals of Dad Vails

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Lady Pioneer Navy made the finals of the DII/DIII Varsity Heavyweight Eight race Saturday (May 14) morning at the 67th annual Dad Vail Regatta. Marietta placed second in its heat, finishing behind Nova SE (7:39.87), with a time of 7:45.89.

The Grand Finals, which begin at 4:29 p.m., will feature RIT, Barry, Nova SE, Florida Tech, Marietta and Dowling.

Marietta's Varsity Eight sits from bow Megan Rogers, Meg Foraker, Corinne Mees, Amanda Chuderewicz, Kim Becker, Kelsey McNamara, Dorothy Klaiber, stroke Lindsay Letterle and coxswain Meredith Rogers.

The JV Eight placed fourth in its opening heat Friday with a time of 8:43.85 and did not advance out of the prelims.

Members of the JV Eight boat included bow Meredith Hay, Jenny Sayles, Rita Soworowski, Brittany Mayhew, Sarah Henry, Becca Stewart, Rosa Hanks stroke Vee Pfab and coxswain Dan Carnall.
