Marietta's Varsity 8+ ranked third in Mid-Atlantic Region
Pioneers preparing for MARC Championship on Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The NCAA Division III Women’s Rowing Committee release this week’s regional poll on Wednesday (April 22) afternoon, and the Marietta College women’s Varsity 8+ was ranked third in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Washington (Md.) sat atop the Mid-Atlantic Region, while Mary Washington (Va.) was second. The top teams in each of the four regions have been ranked using results through April 19.

Head Coach Kelly Harris’ crew is coming off a fourth place finish at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championship in Oak Ridge, Tenn., on April 20. This Saturday (April 25), the Pioneers will compete in the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championship at Gifford Pinchot State Park in York County, Pa.
