Lady Pioneers routed by Cardinals 5-0 in OAC opener
Marietta women out-shot 26-5 in loss

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The Marietta College women’s soccer team had a tough Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) opener as it fell 5-0 to host Otterbein College Saturday (Sept. 29) afternoon.

The Cardinals (4-4-1, 1-0 OAC) dominated the game, out-shooting the Pioneers (5-3-1, 0-1 OAC) 26-5 overall and 9-3 in shots on goal.

Helen Hetzel (Radnor/Buckeye Valley) had four saves in the loss.

Marietta is back in action Wednesday (Oct. 3) when it welcomes rival Muskingum to Marietta Field for a 4 p.m. match-up.
