Marietta's Carraher named to All-OAC first team for fourth straight season
Senior finished career with record of 40-5

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — Marietta College senior tennis standout Amanda Carraher (Hilliard/Hilliard Davidson) is now a four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) first team selection. The announcement came from the league office on Thursday (May 7) morning when it released the 2009 Women’s Tennis All-OAC Teams and Special Award Winners.

Carraher finished the season with an 11-1 record at first singles. Her 8-1 record during OAC play was the best among players at first singles. Carraher closed out her single's career with a record of 40-5. All 45 of her matches were played at first singles. She also teamed with junior Lauren McKiernan (Parkersburg, W.Va./South) to finish the season with an 8-5 record at first doubles.

Marietta, under the helm of second-year coach Danika Cox, finished the season 2-11 overall and 1-8 in the OAC. The Pioneers qualified for the OAC Tournament and fell to eventual champion Ohio Northern University in the first round.
