Connect MC

Every year, student machines introduced to the campus network may contain harmful viruses and malware. The best way to insure the integrity of the network is to require that all anti-virus software and operating systems are current and maintained.

Each student accessing the Marietta College network is required to login and to maintain operating system patches and an up-to-date anti-virus software package.

Note: The registration software will not collect any personal information.

Cisco Clean Access (CCA)

Cisco Clean Access (CCA) is a system implemented in large networks to:

1. Verify and manage the users connecting to the network
2. Keep the network secure by enforcing good security standards

A CCA client is required to be installed on the computer, which will verify that the computer is secure enough to be allowed access to the network.

It will check for the latest:

  • Windows Updates,
  • Automatic Updates,
  • Symantec AntiVirus, and
  • other essential security standards.

The client will not collect any personal information, only information regarding the security of the system. In turn, this will greatly reduce the spread of viruses across the network and help keep your information safe and your computing experience enjoyable.

For more information on CCA, download the CCA: At-A-Glance PDF from Cisco.
