Tom Saccenti has served as the Chief of Police for the Marietta College Police Department since 2010. Prior to coming to Marietta College Tom worked at several municipalities holding the position of Officer, Detective and Chief of Police. Additionally, Tom worked for the Ohio Department of Mental Health as a Uniform Crime Investigator for several years.
Tom holds an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from the Marion Technical College, a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Trine University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Trine University. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati.
In addition to his service at Marietta College, to is an adjunct instructor at the University of West Virginia — Parkersburg teaching criminal investigations and is an instructor for the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy teaching the basic recruit class

Jenny Boggs began her employment with the Marietta College Police Department in January of 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Advertising with Honors from Marshall University. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology (Child Development) at Marietta College and hopes to enter the master's program.

James Weaver III began his employment with the Marietta College Police Department in August of 2008. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in November of 2010. During his time with Marietta College Police Department, he has become the agency's TLO officer and a certified ALICE instructor. He has also attended many specialized training sessions in areas such as Core Criminal Investigation, Sexual Assault Investigation, and New Detective Training just to name a few. He is currently working toward attaining his Master Criminal Investigator certificate from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.

Bill Johnson has served as a Police Officer for the Marietta College Police since 2009. Prior to coming to Marietta College, Bill attended Hocking College and majored in Police Science. Bill has previously worked as a Deputy Sheriff and a College Police Officer in the Athens County Ohio area. He is looking forward to continuing his education and working beside the faculty and staff. Bill is pursuing his Master Criminal Investigator certification through the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy.

Kim joined the Marietta College Police Department in 2010. Kim holds an Associate's Degree from Hocking College where she also served as a campus police officer. Kim also brings with her municipal police experience having served as a police officer for the Nelsonville Police Department. Kim is currently pursuing her Master Evidence Technician certification through the Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission.

James (Ed) Moon has served as a Police Officer with the Marietta College Police Department since 2003. Prior to coming to Marietta College Ed served for over 20 years with the Washington County Sheriff's Department where he held a number of positions including that of Detective, Arson Investigator, and Crime Scene Investigator. Ed holds a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice Degree with a minor in Traffic Safety.

Ralph Wirkner has worked for the Marietta College Police Department since 2005. In addition to working for the Campus Police Department, Ralph is Chief of Police in the Athens County Village of Amesville. Ralph and his wife moved to Athens County from the Cleveland, Ohio area where Ralph was employed by General Motors; he also worked for the suburban Cleveland City of Bay Village as a part-time police officer, he served the city for 23 years. Ralph attended Case Western Reserve University Center for Criminal Justice, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he successfully completed basic police school. Ralph also served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Michael Dailey graduated from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy at Washington State Community College in 2010. Immediately following his graduation Michael joined the Marietta College Police Department. Michael is currently working to complete his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice through the Washington State Community College. He enjoys serving the students and faculty at Marietta College.
