Raymond Carver Short Story Contest
DEADLINE: 15 May 2013

$1000 prize and publication in Carve Magazine for the best short story.

$1500 and publication in Glimmer Train Stories for a story that has not been published in a nationally distributed publication with a circulation over 5,000.

2013 Constance Rooke Creative Nonfiction Prize
DEADLINE: 1 August 2013 (postmark date)

$1000 Canadian dollars to the best work “for a genre that embraces, but is not limited to, the personal essay, memoir, narrative nonfiction, social commentary, travel writing, historical accounts, and biography, all enhanced by such elements as description, dramatic scenes, dialogue, and characterization.”
