"Practicing into the wee hours of the morning, laughing when things go right, and laughing when things don’t go exactly as planned, make this team the special one that it is. Furthermore, we enjoy being around one another and cheering for one other. All of this, and we are academically based—what could be better," stated Dr. Mabry O’Donnell, McCoy and Hillyer Professor and Coach of the team.
"Once we walked into the Student Center at Geneva College, I remembered the tournament from two year ago. This is a special tournament because they offer a different event, religious informative. It was a great tournament to round out our season. Now, on to Novice Nationals!" said Heather Boomer, president of the team.
"Geneva was a great tournament to attend. Since the MC Forensics team is now very close, we started to socialize more with the other teams. There was a true sense of community," stated Celia Brockway.
"Geneva was great, with intense and interesting competitors who were very nice and welcoming," said Carly Wesemeyer.
"This was my first time going to the Geneva tournament, and I had a blast competing and meeting all of the new students. This was also the first time I was able to recognize individuals from other colleges and even made some mew friends," said Ryan Ellis.
"The Geneva Tournament was great—great experience, great pieces, and great insight, all which will help me prepare for nationals," said Scott Burnham.
