"For the last three months this team's evolution represents the storybook example of determined effort succeeding. The positive attitudes and determination punctuated by continued practice at midnight on the second floor of Mills Hall highlight this delightful team. Every team member entered as many events as he/she could prepare in hopes that our eight students could counter the mathematical odds favoring the larger teams. Although it is individual events, the students worked, related, supported, and bonded as a team. The team president, Heather Boomer, exhibited inspired leadership. Bringing home 23 awards with 8 first place trophies is exhilarating," said team coach, Dr. Mabry O'Donnell.
