Meet Our Peer Mentors!
My name is Gretchen Baisden. I graduated from Rittman High School, and am currently a Sophomore Athletic Training/Psychology Major. I am a member of MCATSO and run on Marietta's Track and Field Team.
I am from Beverly, Ohio, and I am an English major pursuing a teaching licensure. I am a sophomore here at Marietta College, and I graduated from Fort Frye High School. I enjoy reading, writing, running, baking, and watching movies. I would like to be a high school English teacher upon my graduation from college. I work in the business office and Writing Center.
Hi, I am Jessica Brogan and I will be a sophomore next year. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and I am majoring in Athletic Training as well as minoring in Spanish. I am also on the Women's Basketball team, and I am involved with Greek Life in addition to being a peer mentor.
I am a junior from Carlisle, Pennsylvania. I am double majoring in Broadcasting and Photojournalism with a minor in Psychology. I am on the Marietta College Cross Country and Track and Field teams and I am involved with Greek Life. I am also the Head Resident Assistant in McCoy Hall and I am an Orientation Leader. I am involved in WCMO-TV, Marietta College's TV Station, as on air talent and a producer and with the Marcolian, our campus newspaper. The best thing I did when I came to college was getting involved in lots of activities because I was able to meet new people and you will discover, just like I did, that Marietta College has many opportunities for everyone
Hi, my name is Zo Kreager. I am a junior at Marietta College. I am studying Geology with a minor is Petroleum Engineering. I am currently involved in Greek life, Vice Chair of Colleges Against Cancer and a Resident Assistant in Marietta Hall! I am originally from Hastings, Nebraska!

I am a student from Beijing China majoring in finance, but sometimes I really want to be a historian. Besides being a peer mentor, I am also a McDonough scholar, a Circle K member, and Model UN participant. I am addicted to all kinds of sports, and I am absolutely excited to try new stuff.
I am a junior from Williamstown, West Virginia. I am a psychology major and a management minor. I am pursuing a career in Occupational Therapy and will go to graduate school after I obtain my undergraduate degree. I am a member of the Psychology Club. I really enjoy doing many community projects with the Psychology Club. I also enjoy reading and baking. I am very excited to be a peer mentor for the incoming Marietta College freshman.
I am a sophomore majoring in Athletic Training, hoping one day to become an athletic trainer for a professional sports team. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I graduated from Shaler Area High School. I am a rower for the school's women's rowing team and a part of MCATSO. This is my first year as a peer mentor. In my spare time I like to play the piano, paint, and draw. I love to make people laugh!
I am a sophomore from Camden, Delaware. I am majoring in Advertising and Public Relations with a certificate in Leadership from the McDonough Leadership Program. I am on the Marietta College Dance Team and involved in Greek life and intramural soccer. I also am the secretary of the Student Alumni Association.
I'm a sophomore from Rochester Hills, Michigan. I am a Studio Art major with minors in Leadership and Spanish. I'm also involved in the Honors Program and Shake America here on campus. I love to spend my free time reading, volunteering, and hanging out with family and friends. I also love being outside and I don't really believe in matching socks. I'm really excited for this fall and I'm looking forward to being a Peer Mentor!
My name is Nicole Morrone. I am from the small town of Mineral Ridge in Northeast Ohio, and I will be a sophomore at Marietta this fall semester. I am majoring in Studio Art with minors in Art History and Advertising/Public Relations. I am avidly involved with Greek Life on campus and hold a couple positions in my sorority. I have also been involved with choir and take advantage of the many volunteer opportunities around Marietta, like working for the Humane Society at a local animal shelter. I am a dedicated student and I love to help those around me. I have a love for the fine arts that can only be described as a way of life. There is nothing I do better than art, singing, dancing, theater, and playing guitar. So if you are around the Herman Fine Art Center at any time of day or night, chances are I will be there.
I am a Middle Childhood Education Major with math and science concentrations. I'm involved in Greek Life on campus, President of the Panhellenic Council, Fundraising Chair for the Up 'til Dawn Executive Board, Orientation Leader, and tour guide for Admissions. I love to play volleyball and frisbee in my free time and plan on running a half marathon in the fall. I play on both volleyball and football intermural teams during the school year and hope to continue to serve at The Galley restaurant on the weekends during the upcoming school year. In case you couldn't tell I like to stay busy. My favorite classes at MC so far have been Adolescent Psychology and Geometry for Teachers. I'm looking forward to the fall semester and my first semester as a peer mentor!
I am a sophomore Athletic Training Major here at Marietta College. I am from Bellbrook, Ohio, which is near Dayton and graduated from Bellbrook High School. I am on the Women's Soccer team at Marietta and have played soccer all of my life. I have enjoyed sports, the outdoors, cooking, and spending time with friends and family the most throughout my life. I also work at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center on campus. I plan on becoming an Athletic Trainer out of school at a sports clinic and then furthering my career to become a PA.
I am a junior here at Marietta College from Cleveland, Ohio pursuing a degree in Advertising & Public Relations and Broadcasting. I graduated from St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland. I am a member of Marietta Colleges Football Team, a member of Marietta College Forensics Team, appears in the Student Senate as a Junior Class Representative, a Tour Guide for the Office of Admissions, as well as a Marietta College Orientation Leader. I am a very extroverted person who is always open to good laughs and thoughtful conversation.
I am a senior English major from Medina, Ohio which is about 40 minutes south of Cleveland. I love being a Pio and am actively involved on campus as an enthusiastic member of Greek life, president of Colleges Against Cancer, and a member of the Honors program. I am also a former MC cheerleader and current coffee addict. I can't wait to get to know all of you!
I am Chelsea Smith. I am a sophomore majoring in English with a Teacher Leadership Certificate. Aside from my school work and being involved in the leadership and honors programs, I also work at the college bookstore, tutor at the Ely Chapman Education Foundation, sing in Marietta College's Women's Choir, and participate in Greek Life.
John Ste. Marie
Hi, my name is John Ste. Marie. I am a sophomore Biochemistry major from Nashua, New Hampshire. I am involved in Biology and Chemistry Club, the Student Alumni Association, and am part of the Scholars Community, also known as the Honors House, on campus. I am most interested in toxicology and plan on pursuing a Master's degree in forensic toxicology. I will be working with Dr. Brown in the Biology Learning Community.
I am a senior this year at Marietta College, but will be here a fifth year to get my Masters. This is my second year as a peer mentor. I am a psychology major with a minor is biology. I am a member of the Concert Choir and Men's Choir here at the college. I'm also a member of a fraternity, and sitting Treasurer of the InterFraternity Council.
Hello all! I am a sophomore who comes from the pleasant little city of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and I am a Biochemistry Pre-Med major with a Certificate in Leadership Studies. Ultimately, my career goals are to become a physician of Naturopathic Medicine, but on my way to medical school, I am loving life here at Marietta College. Photography is by far my largest past-time, and one of my on-campus jobs is as a staff photographer for the campus yearbook. As well, I am a member of the Biology Club, the Chemistry Club, the McDonough Leadership Program, and the Honors Program. I love classical music, piano performance, traveling, great literature, golf, tennis, and folk dancing. Coming to Marietta College has been a blessing for me in numerous ways, and I hope that as a peer mentor I will be enhance the college experiences of many new freshman!
About the Director
Dr. Nicole Livengood received her Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2007. At Marietta College she directs the Peer Mentor program and is a member of the English Faculty. She has a crazy black lab named Zoey, drinks a lot of coffee, and is incredibly excited to help the Peer Mentor Program grow.
