Sick of winter? Warm up with the fulldome video "Secrets of the Sun," which takes a close look at our nearest star. A live startalk about the evening sky will precede the movie.

March 2014: The Voyager Encounters

Voyager 1 was in the news last fall as it crossed into interstellar space approximately 36 years after its launch in 1977. This probe is now 127 times farther from the Sun than we are here on Earth. Join us for a look back at the planetary exploration done by Voyager 1 and its twin, Voyager 2, as we present the Loch Ness Productions show "The Voyager Encounters." Voyager 2 is the only probe to have visited either Uranus or Neptune. This show will be accompanied by a star talk focusing on the current evening sky and where in the sky you can view some of the planets that the Voyager probes visited.

Join us for a series of programs welcoming in the spring & summer skies! Each of these shows will begin with a star talk pointing out the highlights of our current evening skies. The April program will include the fulldome video "Undiscovered Worlds," which explores how we are discovering planets around other stars. The May program will include the fulldome video "Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity," and the child-friendly June show will include the fulldome video "Zula Patrol: Down to Earth."
Seating for the April, May and June shows will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
July & August 2014

Join us in exploring the late summer sky! Each of these shows will begin with a star talk pointing out the highlights of our current evening skies, including visible planets and other notable sky features. The July program will include the fulldome video "Oasis in Space," which explores our Solar System and where water can be found. The August program will feature the fulldome video "The Cowboy Astronomer" (created & produced by Loch Ness productions), which focuses on naked-eye astronomy.
Seating for the July & August shows will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
