MC Support Council

MC Support Council

Founded in the late 1980s by members of the campus's clerical and technical support staff, the Marietta College Support Council (MCSC) is committed to contributing to Marietta College becoming one of the best and most contemporary liberal arts colleges in America.

MCSC serves as a model of leadership through:

  • service to the campus and external community
  • shared knowledge,
  • professional/personal development,
  • mutual problem solving,
  • networking, and
  • interpersonal relationships.

Attaining these goals will enhance our work environment and, ultimately, provide a positive force for change and continuous improvement for the entire campus.

Although the MCSC does not hold regular meetings, members host and participate in several events and activities throughout the academic year.

Green Up 2005

MCSC activities have included:

  • a monthly speaker's series featuring members of the MC faculty and local organizations,
  • campus "green up days,"
  • Christmas on Campus, and
  • Chili Cook-Off fundraisers.
