The Assessment Committee and WCTE invite faculty to Spring Assessment Day from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Monday, May 15th, in the Worthington Center for Teaching Excellence. The session will begin by discussing the AAC&U's recommended scoring method with a follow-up looking at a few common samples. After a short debriefing on this range-finding activity, participants will asses actual student work (the work will come from Writing 110 and is appropriate for faculty from all departments to score). Don Duvall will explain the 2017 iteration of the college's ISLO map (i.e. the map with I,P, and M designations). Your participation is important and appreciated: based on feedback gathered at last December's workshop, the Assessment Committee added a definition to the Communication Skills rubrics. Lite breakfast and lunch provided. To RSVP for the event go to www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4caaaf23abfc1-assessment.
