Please join us for our free December public planetarium program from 7:00-8:20 p.m., Thursday, December 14th, in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium. This is a great way to prepare for the holiday season as you watch the full-dome show "Season of Light," which traces the history and development of numerous holiday traditions, including the Yule log, mistletoe, and the Christmas tree. The program concludes by exploring possible astronomical explanations for the Christmas star. Preceding Season of Light will be a brief star talk focusing on the late December sky. (Season of Light was created by Loch Ness Productions.)

The College will begin taking reservations immediately. Please send an email to planetarium@marietta.edu to reserve seats, as we will not be taking reservations by phone. There is no charge for reservations, but we will accept donations at the end of each program. Those without reservations will be admitted on a space-available basis.
