McDonough Center Auditorium

Richard Gid Powers, professor at The Graduate Center of City University of New York and the College of Staten Island, is the author of no less than four books on the Federal Bureau of Investigation, including Broken: The Troubled Past and Uncertain Future of the FBI (2004).

Publisher's Weekly said of the book that it is a “timely and nuanced history of the legendary agency that puts its current struggles in appropriate context.”

Mr. Powers, who earned a Ph.D. from Brown University, has also written The FBI: A Comprehensive Reference Guide, (2000) and Not Without Honor: The History of American Anticommunism (1996).
