Merewyn Archer was appointed faculty accompanist for the music department in the fall of 2004. In her position, she teaches music appreciation, aural skills, and class piano. She also accompanies all of the choirs at Marietta College.

Her undergraduate degree is in piano performance from East Texas Baptist University and her master's degree is in collaborative piano from Baylor University.

She served as collaborative pianist for student recitals and a soloist with Baylor Symphonic Band. She also toured Italy with the concert choir at East Texas Baptist University.

She has received the Best Overall Performance Award at East Texas and is the winner of the Northwest Civic Orchestra Young Artist competition.
