Doug Blakowski begins his second season as a graduate assistant for the Pioneers in 2008. Blakowski, who will coach the running backs, is a 2007 graduate of Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y. A two-year starter at running back for the Statesmen, Blakowski earned All-Liberty League and All-American honors as a junior and senior. He finished his career with 2,610 yards and 32 touchdowns.
In the summer of 2007, Blakowski played for Team USA in the World Cup of American Football in Japan, where he helped the Americans win the gold medal.
"I am excited to coach in one of the toughest conferences of Division III football while being able to work with a very talented stable of running backs," said Blakowski.
The Elma, N.Y., native earned a bachelors degree in economics with a minor in public policy at Hobart and began working on his Master’s of Education last fall.
