Robert M. McManus, Ph.D., is the McCoy Associate Professor of Leadership Studies and Communication at the McDonough Center for Leadership and Business at Marietta College. He teaches four core courses in Leadership Studies including: Foundations of Leadership, Organizational Leadership, Theories and Models of Leadership, and Global Leadership. He has also led student groups in international study abroad tours to Latin America and Europe.

He led research teams from the McDonough Center to assist in the selection of candidates for America's Best Leaders project published in U.S. News and World Report in 2008 and 2009 in conjunction with Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government's Center for Public Leadership.

He has published works in the United States and Brazil in the areas of Leadership Studies and Communication Studies. His current research interests center on the connections between the Liberal Arts, Leadership Studies, and Communication. Dr. McManus is also an active business consultant and is a member of the International Leadership Association. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication Studies and a Master of Business Administration.

Dr. McManus was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and currently lives in Marietta, Ohio.
