Dr. Pastoor has more than 30 years of student affairs experience in higher education, including 20 years as vice president at four institutions. He also brings a wealth of experience in student life, including the development of first-year seminar programs, campus housing, judicial systems, academic warning programs, and a four-year learning model for student affairs integrated with academic learning outcomes.
He joined Marietta College in January of 2010. At Marietta, he is directly responsible for the direction and management of a comprehensive student affairs program serving 1,500 undergraduate students.
Pastoor, who from 2005-2009 was the President of St. John's Catholic Prep in Frederick, Md., will focus on campus life, residential life, student well-being and health and other areas that impact student success and overall experience.
From 2002-04, Pastoor was Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of San Diego. He was Vice President for Student Life at Carroll College in Helena, Mont., from 1995-2002, and Vice President for Student Affairs at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Md., from 1987-95.
Pastoor is married to Ann Marie Lynch, and they have three children, Thomas, Tully, and Marijka.
