Ben Stout received his B.F.A in Ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute and his M.F.A in Ceramics from Ohio University. While maintaining a strong technical history with Ceramic material, his most current work highlights an expanded approach to casting methods and boarders on performance. His conceptual departure points are the condition of the mark, or alternately mark making, and his performativity takes place in what he terms the municipal experience-that which lies between the individual and the environmental. Ben shows his work nationally and is currently a faculty member in Ceramics at Marietta College.
