Prior to joining Marietta College in the Fall of 2007, Dr. Ziyati was Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication and Public Relations at Ajman University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He has also held teaching positions at the Institut Superieur de Information et de la Communication (ISIC), the International Institute of Higher Education in Morocco (IIHEM) and the Institute of Languages and Communication Studies (ILCS) in Rabat, Morocco. He also served as an adjunct faculty member at Ohio University where he taught Public Speaking, Introduction to Mass Communication and Intercultural Communication. He was also a visiting professor at Lock Haven (Pa.) University.
His research interests include issues regarding migration, cultural studies, international communication, and ethnography.
