Biography

Andrea moved to Marietta, Ohio in the summer of 1999 from Denver, Colorado. She received a Masters of Arts in Education from Marietta College and then went on to receive a Master of Education in Counseling from Ohio University.

She is licensed through the Ohio Counseling, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Supervising Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She has worked as a mental health counselor for Marietta College since 2008.

Her areas of interest and experience include depression, anxiety, relationships with self and others, adjustment/life transitions, LGBTQ+ issues, abuse and trauma, religion and spirituality. Her therapeutic style varies depending on each client’s needs and includes aspects of Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Reality Therapy, and SolutionFocused Therapy approaches. She also integrates Mindfulness techniques. Her outside interests include music, artwork, jewelry making, and travel.
