Biography

As the Assistant Director of Tutoring Services, Keira manages all aspects of the Academic Resource Center’s tutoring programs. Keira oversees both the Writing Center in Thomas 221 as well as the Tutoring & Learning Center in Rickey 370 in the Rickey Science Center. She is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising all Peer Writing Consultants and Peer Learning Consultants. She also manages the Embedded Tutoring program, which was established in 2014.

In addition to administering the tutoring programs, Keira developed and teaches a specialized course, COLL 150, which helps students cultivate their critical thinking and reading comprehension skills. She also collaborates with faculty to provide in-class presentations and workshops on a variety of topics related to the tutoring programs, writing and citation styles, and study-skills.
