Biography

Mike Carpenter has been the head men’s tennis coach since the 2012. He also served as the head women's tennis coach from 2012-16.

Carpenter was a four-year varsity letter winner for the Pioneers from 2008-11. After graduation, he joined the Marietta tennis staff as the assistant coach for the men’s and women’s teams. Following a mid-season resignation by the head coach, Carpenter was named the interim head coach for the duration of the 2012 season. He was appointed head coach in June of 2012.

In addition to his duties as head coach at Marietta, Carpenter also serves as the Head Tennis Pro at the Parkersburg (W.Va.) Country Club and the Club Manager and Tennis Instructor at the Marietta Tennis Center. Carpenter earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Marketing with a minor in Philosophy from Marietta College in 2011. He resides in nearby Vienna, W.Va.
