Residence Halls
Each room is furnished with single beds (extra-long, 80" mattresses), desks, chairs, chests of drawers, closets for each
resident and window screens and window blinds. The College does
not permit waterbeds or other potentially hazardous furniture or
items in student rooms. Personal chairs and/or sofas may be
permitted if they do not constitute a fire or health hazard.
Cooking appliances are not permitted in student rooms.
Trash Receptacles
Trash receptacles, including dumpsters, are provided near each residence hall. Residents are responsible for removing their own trash.
Telephones
Each residence hall room is equipped with a working telephone
jack which provides on-campus and local service as part of the
room rate. Long distance calls may be placed with calling cards
or with long distance service provided through the office of
Telecommunications and AT&T Campus & University Services (ACUS).
Each student will receive a separate voicemail box to receive
personal messages which can be reached from on and off
campus.
Computer Networking
All residence halls are directly wired with high-speed fiber for access to the campus
computing network.
Wireless access is available in the residence halls, theme houses and fraternity houses. Additional information about Campus Networking, including minimum computer requirements, is available on the MC Technology Networking page.
Laundry Facilities
Washers and dryers are available at convenient locations
throughout the residence life community.
Cable TV
Expanded cable service of approximately 70 channels is provided
in each residence hall as part of the room fee.
