Coleman, treasurer, reported that
the current balance in the treasury is approximately $500. The officers
will be paying their own dues for national ACM membership. Dues for the
local chapter will be $1 per person.
The certification committee reported that Bettinger has purchased one
book about the A+ certification. The certification test can be taken at
the Sylvan Learning Center for about $300. The committee will be starting
a study group for anyone interested.
The chapter will be selling computer disks to computer science classes
at the beginning of next semester. The bookstore manager agreed that this
will not be a problem. Coleman was put in charge of finding a good price
on disks, and possibly CDRs. Stedman agreed to sell some disks at the
Wednesday evening classes.
According to Anderson, Russell Hall should be completely wired by February.
At that time, students may need help setting up network cards in their
computers.
Denius suggested moving the meeting time to accomidate other students.
The next meeting will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2000.
