A&H Memory: being really nervous to read where the wild things are as my first ever Cafe AHHH performance and getting lots of cheers and exclamations because of it.

Etc.: I also play the cello, am still a girl scout, am a member of Chi Omega, am an ultimate frisbee player and adore wiggling.

Year: Junior

Major: Theatre (B.F.A.)

Interests: I enjoy art in all of its forms. I am a theatre major with specific interest in playwriting, directing, acting, and lighting design and am a member of Alpha Psi Omega, the dramatic honorary, I play the trumpet and sing, participated in both Concert Choir and Band, and have learned a little guitar and piano. I like to sketch and draw with chalk pastels on the side. I don't do portraits very well, but some of my landscapes are real winners. I also love to take pictures. Also, I enjoy writing. I have written in almost every literary form I can think of aside from a full novel. I write short stories, poetry, and plays mostly, but have done some pretty nifty critical work for my classes.

A&H Memory: Probably the night that Jackie Masse, Joel Fenstermaker, Liz Allard, and Diana Rohlman filled Joel's and Dan May's room with Marcolians. It was pretty awesome.

Etc.: I am Arts and Entertainment Editor for the Marcolian, I
have in the past and will again starting in the spring of 2006 represent A&H council at Student Senate. I am also a member of Senate's Appropriations Committee and the Student Conduct Board.

A&H Memory: The end of freshman year when I found a group that I finally clicked with on campus and everything that followed, waterfights, the Mountaineer, the annual picnic.

Etc.: A&H is acutally my second home, I live in the Honors House when not sucked into Hermann. I designed and maintian this site as well as my design portfolio site.

A&H Memory: At a coffeehouse, I sang "The Lemon Song" (I wrote it) and afterwards people were like, "Oh my gosh, I didn't know you could sing or write that well!"  It was the beginning of the path to me choosing my major.

Kate Paullin

Year: Senior (I love college, but is it May yet?)

Major: Graphic Design, B.F.A.

Interests: My Obessions: The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Tautou, Audrey Hepburn, Asia Argentino, LAW AND ORDER (Especially Jerry Orbach), Gilmore Girls, and Brandon Boyd. My Passions: Art, Photography, My idea of fashion, Environmental Issues, Women's Issues, but most importantly: Music.  My love is Music.  My top favorite bands are (in this order): The Beatles, Modest Mouse, Stellastarr*, Metric, Muse, and Radiohead.  But I also really, really, really like Rilo Kiley, The Faint, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Portishead, Hot Hot Heat, The Dandy Warhols, Spiraling, The Unicorns, The Twenty-Two's, and Girls Aloud.

A&H Memory: Let us see... where to start.  Oh, how about the Spice Girls routine with Nads, Kelly, Cate, and Jackie?  Or dressing as the Scooby Doo Gang at what I think may have been my very first coffee house.  And then there is Kelly's annual christmas party.  And the annual underwear party. Straight up chillin' at the Holiday Inn during the floods!
And Doo Dah Day.  Especially the one my freshman year - it was the best.  Just check out this picture.  Talk about a stellar group of friends.

Etc.: Purple is the best color in the world.
And garlic is the best food.  Mmmm garlic....

Etc.: I work on MC's yearbook, newspaper, student senate, and I run the Independent Musician Council. Basically, I'm way too involved in Marietta College life. I'd be a taint on the honor of the high school loner version of myself.
