There was a bond that seemed stronger then just friendships. After seeing that I decided that this is what I need and wanted.

Why did you choose Marietta College?
why- The small school atmosphere as well as the friendliness of the students were what originally drew me to Marietta College.  Also, the rowing program was a major factor in choosing Marietta.
What made you decide to become an ATO?
ATO- as a freshman I was originally completely anti-greek.  However, after spending some time with the brothers of Alpha Tau Omega, I learned that being a part of a greek organization was exactly what I needed.  I decided that I wanted to become part of something larger than myself and I knew that Alpha Tau Omega was the right group for me.
What does ATO mean to you?
ATO has become, arguably, the most influential aspect of my life.  I can't imagine attempting to overcome the obstacles of college life without the lessons I have learned and am currently learning.  I've not only found life lessons within this organization, but I discovered brotherhood and the camaraderie I share with my fellow brothers is something that will always be special to me.

Hometown and High School:

Graduation year:

Why did you choose Marietta College?
Chose Marietta College because it gave off that local/home grown atmosphere. Felt comfortable around campus when I visited. Along with that the small class sizes and the up and coming cross country and track programs that were recently reinstated when I arrived on campus.
What made you decide to become an ATO?
I decided to become an ATO because they really put forth the effort to get to know who I am. They did not rush to bid me, but rather took the time to grasp the type of individual I was and what I could bring to ATO. At the time of my rush, ATO seemed to be the most diverse but still close nit group and I noticed ATO more on campus than the other organizations through visual and word.
What does ATO mean to you?
ATO means a life long commitment to bettering not only myself but each and every person I come in contact with. It is not just about the campus events thrown by ATO, but the behind the scenes action. The philanthropy events over the summer months that keep our brotherhood strong when not at school, the general involvement our organization has around campus. Being able to change a life whether they are a part of ATO or not. It isn't about all the big things that are accomplished, the small things count as well. It is a life long bond that no one can explain unless in ATO and no one can take it away.

The first time I was at the ATO house was when I decided I wanted to become an ATO; the house is not accessible for my wheelchair, but when I got there one brother yelled down the hallway that he needed help and six brothers came out and helped carry my wheelchair down the stairs. After witnessing these brothers come together, I knew that ATO was something that I wanted to be a part of.
