.                          Expectations for Attendance and Participation:            You are expected to make the initial contact with your cooperating teacher and begin your field experience during the week indicated on the syllabus.  Following your initial meeting with your cooperating teacher, you need to submit to the course instructor a list of dates and times when you will be present at your field site.  You need to attend all of your scheduled field visits and be an active and interested classroom participant.  In the case of absence due to illness, you must notify your cooperating teacher as early as possible.  Days missed must be made up.  Absences for reasons other than illness or family emergency are not excused and will result in a deduction of points from your final field experience grade.              If you experience problems with you field placement, you need to contact either the course instructor  Dr. Bauer, or Field Experience Director.  Failure to complete the 30 required classroom hours, a poor evaluation from your cooperating teacher, or failure to submit an adequate field experience portfolio will result in a grade of C or lower.  A grade of B or higher is required in this course in order to be admitted to the Teacher Licensure Program.
