Student Teaching-Internship Mild/Moderate Intervention

Course Description:

Fourteen week, full-time or 150 hour summer internship opportunity supervised professional teaching experience under the guidance of a selected cooperating teacher(s) certified in Mild/Moderate.  Students apply knowledge and skills gained in college course work to this culminating experience working in a K-12 classroom setting.  Teaching experiences are reflected upon during a formal pathwise-based assessment, through entries in the student’s professional portfolio, and during weekly seminar meetings with college faculty.

Prerequisites:  Completion of all other professional licensure program requirements and admission to the student teaching semester.

Credit: 12 hours
