An Ecosystem study Kapyoung creek in Korea

. Water quality

·Survey data: 2000. 4. 8. Saturday.

·Investigator: (Team C) Hee-Jin, Kim Jeoung-Eun Yang, Jeoung-Hyun Lim

·Methods:

We measured all sorts of physical and chemical factors of river with Horiba. We hanged it on our neck, and put the part with sensor of it into the water. We were able to measure various kinds of factors. The way of measuring turbidity is Nephelometry.

·Discussion

Relationship between Water Temp and DO

As a measure result, water temp. is 6.2 and DO is 11.76/. Nomograph for calculating the percent dissolved oxygen at various temperatures. The amount of oxygen at saturation at 6, place a straigt edge to cover both 6 and 100 percent. The line extends down to 12/. There is more dissolved oxygen at lower water temp.

Conduct. is 0.028. This water have little suspended solids.

Turb. is 10 and water transparency is high.
