The map above was made at the site http://www.shim.bc.ca/chilliwack/main.htm and shows an area of southern British Columbia near Vancouver, which would be just off the map at upper left.  The large river is the Fraser River, whose outflow is depicted in one of the photos on the Temperate Rainforest page.  The area encircled in red is the Chilliwack River drainage.  The dotted line across the center of the map is the US-Canada border; no land use data is shown for the US.  The colored areas show areas of forest which have been licensed for sale to various timber companies, the 3 earth tones shown at the top of the legend show areas which have actually been logged, and when  Green stippled areas are parks.  White areas range from untouched land to cities.
