Tree Site Numbering System

Site numbers designate positions of trees and planting sites and are numbered sequentially along each lot.  A planting site is a space large enough for a tree, though not necessarily designated for tree planting at this time.   Site numbers for tree sites located along the side street of a corner lot are marked 'side' in the tree listing.   If a lot (such as a parking lot) does not have a formal address, an number is assigned and the address is so designated. The following map shows a hypothetical city block with the trees and planting sites numbered:

Notice that:

200 First St has 4 sites: sites 1 & 2 in front and sites 1S and 2S along side of lot.

104 Beta Ave has 5 sites: 2 in front and 3 along the side.

203 Second St and 105 Alpha Ave are "assigned addresses" for these empty lots.
