In 2007, we left the steamy rainforest of La Suerte for the barrier island of Tortuguero.  Would this island paradise, renowned and named for its nesting sea turtles, be a breezy retreat from the humidity of the rainforest?  Would our nightime walk expose us to the sight of a 9-foot long leatherback turtle laying her eggs?  Read on below to find out.
