Field Trips

Biology takes place outside the lab in the real world.  At Marietta College we strive to give students a real-world exposure to organisms both in the lab and in the environment.  Many of our classes feature field trips to the many local ecosystems handy to the campus.  But we also work to give students experience beyond our local ecosystems - we travel to ecosystems of interest beyond the Mid-Ohio Valley.  Not only do these trips expose the students on them to these unique environments, but pictures and video from our trips are used in a variety of classes.  Featured below are a number of our longer field trips....
