Jessica Phillips

Jessica Phillips, a native of Marietta, Ohio, is a senior English major and a member of Sigma Tau Delta at Marietta College. Jessica has had two poems published in Confluence. This year she has switched her preferred medium to short fiction with her submission of "Jane Err." Aside from working as a tutor in the Campus Writing Center and as a teacher for the Creative Writing Workshop at the Center for Families and Children, Jessica is the student assistant in Special Collections at Dawes Memorial Library.

While at Marietta College, Jessica has received the Lawrence M. Howard Memorial Writing Prize and was recently named in Who's Who Among Students in America's Universities and Colleges. After graduation, Jessica will attend the School of Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh where she will pursue a Masters in Library Science with a concentration in Preservation Management. Jessica hopes to find a position in an academic library's Special Collections, and in her free time she plans to continue writing short fiction.
