The Marietta College Summer Honors Institute: Expand Your Horizons is a free week long summer program open to any Ohio gifted student who will complete the ninth or tenth grade at the end of the academic 08-09 school year.

The institute will take place June 22 -26, 2009

Participants will spend at least 25 hours during the week exploring, through hands-on activities, a topic selected from the three courses offered.

All courses offered have a class size limit so participants will be asked to select a first and second choice for their course selections.

Eligible participants will be selected on a first come, first served basis.

Enrollment in the Summer Honors Institute is limited to 49 participants.

Lunch will be provided free of charge to all participants.

All classes will be held on the Marietta College campus.

Both a residential and commuter option will be available to participants.
Important Information

A registered nurse has been assigned to the Summer Honors Institute and will be available to the participants twenty-four hours a day.

After acceptance into the program, parents of participants must complete and return the required permission forms before the student will be permitted to attend the Institute.
