International Business at Marietta College

Today, all business is international and so international themes are woven through most business courses. But the EMA Department and the Department of Modern Languages have pooled their resources to provide a program with an explicit international focus -- the popular International Business major.

For students with English as their first language, the major currently is offered with a language concentration in Chinese, French, and Spanish. An alternative track is available for students for whom English is their second language. Course work in this track helps students perfect their competence in oral and written business communications.

EMA offers a variety of business and economics courses for the major, including international financial management, international marketing, and international economics. Recognizing the political aspect of international business, the major includes courses in international political economy and international relations.
