Air Travel
Youngstown is accessible from two airports in the region, Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and the Akron-Canton Regional Airport (CAK). Both airports have free wireless internet service; neither allows smoking indoors.
The OVSC will be arranging limited shuttle van transportation from both airports. Further information will be posted soon. If you have questions, please contact us at ohiovalleysc@gmail.com.
Pittsburgh International Airport

For anyone who is planning on flying into Pittsburgh and then renting a car to go to the Hampton Inn in Youngstown, the drive is fairly quick and easy to navigate (60N to 76W to 680N to 224). The travel time from Pittsburgh to the hotel should be right around an hour.
Also, Pittsburgh has several restaurants and shops in the AIRmall. Therefore, if you are waiting for shuttle service, there are more amenities than at the Akron-Canton airport. Note, however, that the majority of the shops in the AIRmall are in the main concourse, so if you leave to get your luggage, you can't get back into that area without a ticket due to post 9/11 security. If you are flying into Pittsburgh and relying on the OVSC for transportation, you may want to carry on your luggage and then enjoy the AIRmall until we get there to pick you up.
Akron-Canton Regional Airport

Driving from the Akron-Canton airport to the hotel takes just over an hour and is fairly straightforward (77N to 76E to 80E to 680S to 224). The airport is smaller and simpler, though it is served by most major airlines, including AirTran.
