Each team will choose a topic and date on which to deliver a 10 to
15 minute technology talk to the class. The format of the talk is not
specified; you can give a formal lecture, show a demo of the topic/software,
have a debate, design and ask students to work on a minicase, etc. You MUST
talk with me ahead of your scheduled presentation about your approach to the
talk -- I can give you feedback about what I think would be effective, given
your topic. Your
presentation must address and make clear the importance of the technology
topic to accountants and/or the discipline of accounting information
systems. You should use a minimum of six references
(including a minimum of three print resources) in researching your
topic. Please e-mail your Works Cited page to me on the day you give your
talk.
The semester's Tech Talk topics are drawn from the
AICPA's
list of Top 10 Technologies for 2008
