CTE Professional Development Opportunities

The Center for Teaching Excellence facilitates many professional development opportunities to assist faculty in trying new technologies and teaching techniques. .

The primary vehicle for these activities are learning communities, open classrooms, information dissemination, group-based training, and individual consultations.

Faculty Learning Communities

This year the CTE is supporting two faculty learning communities, both supported by the Ohio Learning Network. Visit the Faculty Learning Communities page to find out more.

If you have an idea for another faculty learning community, please contact Laura.

Open Classrooms Initiative

The Open Classrooms Initiative opens the classrooms of award-winning professors on the MC campus so that all faculty can get ideas from seeing other faculty teach. Visit the Open Classrooms Initiatives page to see the schedule. Contact Laura if you would like to have a colleague (or yourself!) featured as part of the OCI.

Professional Development Information

We will post information and links about professional development and technology integration.

Training

Group-based training for technology is available on a whole-campus basis or by request from departments and groups. Contact Laura to set up training for individual needs.

Individual consultations

If you would like an individual consultation with Laura to assist in course design or technology integration, please contact her using the contact information at the bottom of the page.
