Pastime Pizza pleases pizza patrons

By EMILY SIDERS and CHRISTIANA HILDITCH

Atmosphere: The inside of Pastime Pizza is a large, open space with plenty of picnic tables, several televisions, and sports memorabilia on the walls. Arcade games, cornhole, air hockey, and pool offer diversions while you wait for your pizza. Thursday nights are college night which brings around a DJ blasting loud music and offering the chance to karaoke with your friends. Everything about Pastime is incredibly laid back and comfortable. Unfortunately, the entire restaurant does allow smoking, and the nature of open room offers no place for those bothered by cigarettes to go to.

Service: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Going up to order was like eating at someone's home. It takes a while for the whole pizzas to be brought out, however the staff kept the single slices available at all times.

Food: College night specials at Pastime Pizza include $1 slices of pepperoni pizza and $1 cans of Keystone Light beer (for the exceptionally money-deprived college students). Aside from the drink and pizza specials, the restaurant also serves all sorts of specialty pizzas ranging from 10 to 14 inches. Also available are 8 varieties of subs, various calzones, as well as sandwiches including hamburgers, grilled chicken and fish tail. Pastime also has several varieties of ice cream. We opted for the College night special (we're 21) and some ice cream. The slices were very tasty and the keystone light was a nice finish. The ice cream was also delicious.

Overall: The college night deals and the laid back environment make Pastime Pizza a fun alternative to the bars. Pastime Pizza is also a fun hangout regardless of if you drink alcohol or not. The pizza and the games are enough reason for anyone, regardless of age, to stop in for a visit any day of the week. Also, the close location makes grabbing up a slice or two seem effortless. Pastime Pizza is a great place to go with family, friends, or a date for a great time!
