Doo Dah Day 2006
By JESSIE SCHMAC

Doo Dah Day is here again. While MC students prepare to take the weekend off from writing papers, and studying for exams, CUB is preparing a fun-filled day of events. This year Doo Dah Day will be centered around a carnival theme.
To set the carnival atmosphere, students, staff, and faculty can get raffle tickets to win prizes throughout the day. There will also be several carnival games including a balloon pop, baseball throw, and a color wheel. Mud volleyball, the inflatable games, music, and food will round off the entire day of events.
Doo Dah Day doesn’t end there. Beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m. there will be a graffiti party in the Gathering Place. “All those who attend will be given a plain white t-shirt which they can decorate with various colored highlighters,” says Samantha McKay, CUB president. The event is being Deejayed by DJ & Associates.
As long as the rain or rough weather holds off all the events will take place outside on Parson’s Field. Mud volleyball will be held behind Marietta Hall. In case of bad weather or rain, all events will be moved to the DBRC and the cooking will be done nearby. “We are hoping it will be a beautiful spring day,” says McKay.
DDD T-shirts are available in the Student Life office for $5 while supplies last. The shirts are red with white print that reads “Clowning around on Doo Dah Day”. Erin Carlin, CUB Campus Traditions Chair, and her committee planned Doo Dah Day and this years events.
