Student Art Show opens
Saturday

The annual Student Art Show will open this Saturday, March 3. The opening will run from 7-9 p.m. in Herman Fine Arts Center.
Any student who submitted an application and paid the entry fee was welcomed to submit artwork from the last year.
The artwork displayed will range from drawings, paintings, and graphic designs to ceramics, etc.

Marietta College’s Make a Difference Day named top 10 in state

Marietta College’s Make a Difference Day was named one of the top ten projects in the state of Ohio in 2006.
The project was so successful that it qualified for a national award. If selected, Marietta College will be featured in April 15 issue of USA Weekend Magazine and its 600 carriers.

Friday’s Dance Marathon

The Health Professions Club is holding a dance marathon this Friday, March 2 from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. The marathon will help raise money for kids with disabilities. Participates pay a $10 charge and receive a free t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners who are able to keeping dancing until 11:30 p.m. and than perform in front of judges. There will also be a Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero competitions. Students wanting to participate in these additional competitions will have to pay $1.

Chartwells Executive Chef hired for Academy Awards

Marietta College Executive Chef Walter Miller was chosen to assist Wolfgang Puck and his catering team at the 70th Annual Academy Awards this past Sunday.
Miller was part of a catering crew that served approximately 1,600 people, which included Oscar nominees, winners, presenters, and televisions personalities.
Now that he has returned from the Academy Awards, Miller plans to serve Marietta College students an Academy Award inspired dinner. He is also more than willing to tell students about his experience at the Oscar's.
