Marietta
College: What you will never see in the Viewbook
This room in the basement of Mills Hall appears as if it was actually
in use at one time in the history of Marietta College. The boxes at
the right of the photo carry years and years of college evaluations,
including tenure evaluation files.

The basement of Mills Hall is more of a storage unit than a useful
part of campus. In this photo, miscellaneous items are strewn about
a room in desperate need of new flooring and paint.

The basement of Dorothy Webster is in desperate need of some TLC.
Paint may be missing or chipping, but no amount of paint can cover
the massive holes in the walls. Students living in Dorothy Webster
talk about the basement as being one of the ‘scariest’
places on campus.

It is consistently a mystery to the residents of Parsons Hall as to
why there are always piles of roofing material on the roof above the
Parsons Hall lobby. Many students want to see this area turned into
a large open balcony accessible toParsons’s residents to socialize
on.
