Phil in the blank

Whoa, now I know how Larry Birkhead feels. His eternal wait for Dannielynn’s paternity results matched my anticipation for Saturday’s A and H formal.
Saturday was full of fun surprises, and A-Listers were in full force. Having been excited for the formal, I decided to clean up in case some paparazzi showed up to snap pictures of Ms. Spears, Ms. Lohan, or me.
Sporting a tee shirt, pinstripe blazer, and an air of confidence, I braved the rain and headed to the Gathering Place for a night of fun. Upon arrival, I was drenched and looked as if I had just survived Hilary Duff’s music video for “Come Clean.”
As I entered the red carpet affair, I absorbed the atmosphere and music while my clothes absorbed the sweat dripping from my loyal posse that was a bit too eagerly insistent to dance up on me.
After brushing off the entourage, I perused the dance floor for celebrities and found Dan May and Heather Keith gyrating and grinding on anyone who passed them by.
They also shamelessly promoted (as I am now) their senior theatre capstone presentation of John and Jen, opening this Friday, April 20 at 8:00 PM, with additional performances Saturday at 8:00 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM.
Also in attendance at this posh gathering were Crystal Carpenter, Sara Raddell, and Jessica Jackson; they all took the crowd by storm with their undulating movements that even Shakira couldn’t hold a flame to.
And, speaking of flames, I might as well mention that plenty of people at the formal were burned when the royalty was announced. All of us waited the whole night for this announcement and now the time finally came upon us. It was announced that the dynamic duo Maggie Smith and Sharee Fleming won Court Jesters, Andrew Wind won Princess, Zack Myers won King, and Britney Koser won Queen.
Needless to say, the night was more full of drama than Hermann. Until next time, remember to prepare yourself; Doo Dah Day is coming, and it’ll hit harder than Hurricane Katrina.
